True Health and Happiness: The NJP Definition
In order to build true health and happiness, we must first understand exactly what the term true health and happiness really means. Definitions vary.
In my experience, what most health seekers and others crave–and what I focus on here at NJP–is:
Building health and happiness by getting to the root cause and taking advantage of natural medicines that allow genuine healing, happiness and confidence to happen without exhausting yourself and being too sick to work effectively.
In other words, we don’t follow the model of “no pain, no gain”. Instead, we true health and happiness seekers invest our time applying the most effective strategies and lifestyle habits. We hunker down now to continually reap the benefits of a long and healthy life now–and later.
The Not Just Paleo Model
It’s a lifestyle that changes the way you look at modern life. We’ve become soft, comfortable and confused about what food is. It’s time to truly connect back to your food and understand what heals you and what kills you.
What True Health and Happiness Is Not
Let’s get rid of some myths and set realistic expectations before we go any deeper.
1. Creating true health and happiness is NOT free and takes some research and experimentation.
Nothing in the modern world is easy. Making yourself healthy and happy is no different. Many conventional health coaches and self-proclaimed gurus will try to convince you otherwise. Why? Because they’re trying to make money from supplements and “detox cleanses”. I’m here to tell you the truth: health is a long-term goal. I’ll do my best to guide you and give you the information you need, but I can’t force you to take action; that’s up to you.
2. Cultivating health and happiness does NOT happen overnight.
I don’t live, teach or believe in get-healthy-quick schemes. My first big success in the gym took 3 years to achieve of consistently working out and eating the right foods. There was nothing easy about it while I was in the trenches. But, once the snowball is rolling it’s much easier to take bigger steps in the right direction. Once you take the reins on your health, you become powerful. You can do it too.
3. Long-lasting true health and happiness is NOT impossible.
In the world of the friday-night parties and alcohol binges that society portrays as the image of a happy working couple, I’m here to tell you that it’s a joke. I was at the deepest of depression in college before I realized that everything I had been taught about what creates health and happiness was a lie. I needed to find the truth and I did. You can too. This lifestyle is attainable and I want you to experience it.
